Apollo admitted to opening a fake debt collection agency to gain access to databases full of individual’s personal information. After having access to these files, he stole multiple ID information and found unclaimed funds, refunds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, refunds from fraudulent U.S. income tax returns and stole U.S. treasury checks. Good Lawd this man is a hot mess!
Of course he didn't act alone, his accomplice Gayla St. Julien's was directed by Nida to establish UPS mailbox address and bank checking
accounts using the newly formed fake identities. Once everything was in place, they would deposit the ill gotten checks and pocket the
money. After it started feeling good to him, he moved on and created a fake auto dealership and acquired auto loans for phantom cars. Talk about scandalous. The scheme seems pretty elaborate and I never thought Apollo was smarter than a bag of Phaedra's leftover weave hair. There's obviously more moving parts to this thing.
Last week, Nida plead guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
As an informant, he agreed to be wired and speak with whomever the government chose. Apollo has added himself on to the case as Pro Se, his own attorney. This could be requested by Phaedra to allow Apollo to receive all the court documents that his attorney receives. Some are suggesting this duplicate paperwork is for Phaedra to stay on top of things. He has agreed to allow the government to contact him directly for assignments without going through his attorney. Obviously since this information is out and public, he must have already drop a dime or two on some folks. It might get sticky in the pokey or should I say he might get poked in the sticky icky. Watch out! Good thing he's been working out. Snitches get stitches.
The crime could bring a prison sentence up to 30 years and a fine of up to $1 million in addition to restitution for an estimated $2.3 million he allegedly defrauded various individuals, financial institutions and government agencies. But the The Feds agree to recommend a sentence at the low end of the determined sentencing range, low is 121-151 months (approximately 10 years to 12 years). So it looks like he agreed to ten years and some change. How much of that he will have to do in actual time remains to be seen.
Phaedra and Apollo are expected to be back on the show for season seven since he is not expected to go to prison until July. We should be able to watch this story line play out in front of the cameras. In the words of Queen Bey, Pretty Hurts but I guess Phaedra found that out the hard way.
